Rising from Ashes

A sudden yet deliberate barn fire puts Jack in hospital and Heartland in financial straits, just as Lou was preparing to return to her old life in New York. Looking to expand neighboring ranch Briar Ridge, Val makes an offer to buy some of Jack's land, but Tim isn't so keen on the idea.

Lou and Scott go to a reunion. 

Amy and Ty go to a party together. 

There was a fire at the Heartland barn. 

Jack is hurt in the fire. 

They look at the damage to the barn. 

Lou finds out the barn wasn't insured. 

Jack remembers who he saw at the barn the night of the fire. 

The towns helps rebuild the barn. 

Thicker Than Water

When Amy invites Tim up to the ranch, Lou tries to impress their stranged father, not wanting to admit to him her fear of horses which stems from having witnessed his long-ago accident at the Calgary Stampede. Jack escapes from the family reunion by going on a second date with Lisa. Ty practices his cattle skills. Lou blows up at Tim.

Mallory has a crush on Ty. 

Tim comes to heartland, and brings his horse. 

Jack goes out with Lisa. 

Mallory teaches Ty come things. 

Jack and Lisa go fly fishing. 

Lou gets on Spartan even though she's afraid. 

Lou tells her father why she's scared.

Born to Run

Prize-winning rider Nick Harwell stops by Heartland to train the uncooperative Ben and flirt with the interested Lou. Mallory takes steps to ensure that her favorite horse Copper won't be sold, discovering in the process that an unscrupulous ranch hand has plans to sell a herd of wild mustangs to a slaughterhouse.

Ty and Amy find men capturing mustangs. 

Nick comes to coach Ben. 

Mallory thinks Lou is selling Copper. 

Ashley flirts with Ben. 

Mallory gets lost with Copper. 

Lou tells Mallory she's not selling Copper. 

Lou and Scott go for a ride.

Ghost From The Past

After elderly Mrs. Bell has a heart attack, Amy takes in her pony Sugarfoot, to whom Lou grows surprisingly attached. Ty's old girlfriend from the juvenile group home shows up looking for him, having taken a job at Briar Ridge.

Amy and Mallory go check on mrs bell and find her. 

Sugar foot comes to heartland. 

A girl from Ty's past shows up claiming to be his GF. 

Ty rejects her. 

Lou bonds with sugar foot. 

Ty's friend leaves. 

Ashley's expensive necklace is missing. 

Ty goes after his friend to get Ashley's necklace back. 

Out Of The Darkness

Amy tries to help a champion stallion and his depressed trainer, who were injured in a stable fire. In the process, she confronts her own unresolved feelings about her mother's accident. Meanwhile, Jack grows increasingly attracted to Lisa. She asks him to come look at a horse with him. Jack declares that it's not a date but it turns into one, until Lisa's husband Dan shows up. Mallory dispenses relationship advice. Lisa explains that Dan is her Ex-husband.

Gallant Prince arrives at Heartland after being burned in a fire. 

Amy goes to see gallant Princes trainer who was also injured in the fire, and blamed for the whole thing. 

Amy and Try to work with Gallant Prince but Ty gets hurt. 

Amy goes back to talk to the trainer. 

Ty comforts Amy. 

Ryan visits gallant Prince. 

We find out who really started the fire. 

Ryan gets his job back. 

Amy goes for a ride with Tim. 

Come What May

Heartland takes in a pregnant mare named Melody. Mallory gives Ty riding lessons. Ben competes in a horse show and refuses to talk to his aunt Lisa. Meanwhile, Jack and Ty go on a cattle round up, and Tim is the trail boss. Ty finds out that Tim is Lou and Amy's father. Lisa shows up to talk to Ben, Jack invites her to stay for breakfast.

Mrs Bell comes sell herbs at Heartland.

Ty and Amy watch out for the pregnant mare. 

Mallory works with Ty on his riding. 

Amy gives Ty a hat for his first roundup. 

Ty falls down trying to save a calf. 

The mare goes into labor. 

Amy and Lou get ready to deliver the foal. 

The foal is born.
